About the role
This role supports safe and efficient monorail operations at Sentosa Express, working within the Operation Command Centre and reporting to the Duty Officer. The position involves rotating shifts across a range of operational and liaison duties, and would suit someone with an engineering background who is comfortable in a fast-paced control room environment.
What you'll do
Deliver scheduled train services, conduct sweeping train checks and ensure the system is ready for operations
Coordinate with maintenance teams for switching traction power on and off
Launch and withdraw passenger service trains at the start and end of service
Record faults reported by Service Captain accurately and hand them to the TSC (Liaison) promptly
Carry out train reformation when delays cause trains to run out of schedule
Ensure all trains are manned according to the deployment schedule
Run unscheduled test or spare trains between passenger service trains
Manage activities after non-traffic hours, including dispatching engineer trains from the depot and their return
Liaise with Service Captain and station staff on platform screen door failures, emergency switch activations and similar incidents, handling them safely and recovering service quickly
Coordinate with station or maintenance staff when on-site recovery is needed
Handle Guest Emergency Calls and Passenger Emergency Intercom
Conduct virtual patrols via CCTV to spot anomalies
Make announcements onboard the monorail using the Automatic Train Announcement System as required
Disseminate information to all Train O&M teams during service delays or disruptions
Receive, record and report faults promptly to the duty maintenance team
Assist the Duty Officer in calling up personnel and handling enquiries during major incidents
Maintain documentation, daily logs of operational issues and reports related to monorail operations
Coordinate and mobilise operations and maintenance personnel to resolve unanticipated failures, service-interrupting events or life-threatening events
Support the Duty Officer in communicating with SDC Command Centre(s) and relevant SDC departments to provide quick recovery actions and minimise guest inconvenience during delays, disruptions, degraded operations, station facility breakdowns, IMS record generation and situation report updates
Track fleet availability status and guest queuing times at stations to meet Operations KPIs
Generate daily Operations Occurrence log reports for submission to SDC
Liaise with and support the maintenance team on train/track maintenance, station maintenance, train running tests and system check testing
Provide inputs for Consent to Work requests within Sentosa Express Operations restricted zones
Check and log all visitors' access to the Control Room in the visitor logbook

Requirements
Recognized Diploma or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering
At least one year of relevant working experience
Able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holidays
