About the role
This trainee role sits within SATS Gateway Services, supporting cabin services operations at Changi. You will be trained across two core functions and rotate between them, so it suits someone organised, calm under pressure and comfortable coordinating with many different teams.
What you'll do
Track the latest flight updates and share them with the relevant parties, including aircraft schedules, timing changes, parking bays and handling times
Coordinate with the airport control office and airline representatives on airline orders, last-minute orders, servicing status, problems and aircraft on ground or late arrivals, then update the operating units involved
Put together the daily flight summary for submission to Finance
Raise documents for the uplift of inflight items when airlines request extra items beyond the normal order
Raise Ad Hoc Activities Notes for ad hoc flight handling
Control the return of Supply Notes, Service Reports and Customs Forms and pass them to the Cabin Admin section
Cover the duties of other Duty Room Officers when needed
Monitor and pass on bad weather messages to staff through walkie talkie, paging system and similar, and inform the airline operations centre
Follow safety and health procedures in the work area and report unsafe conditions, behaviours and incidents
Plan vehicle allocation and deploy drivers
Track driver movements so that precise timings are met
Monitor extra or last-minute uplifts of meals, dry stores, amenities or bar items ordered by crew
Monitor the flight movements assigned to drivers to make sure enough time is given
Reassign a driver's flights when services clash
Tell the supervisor about service clashes or late deployment
Keep track of how many vehicles are serviceable and how many staff are rostered per shift
Maintain and control the issuing and return of vehicle keys
Arrange vehicle washing, fumigation, refuelling, repairs and preventive maintenance
Monitor vehicle movement and control parking at loading bays to prevent congestion
Inform Maintenance about vehicle breakdowns
Carry out any other duties assigned by the Section Head and Cabin Service Supervisor

Requirements
Able to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment and maintain good working relationships with people of different national and cultural backgrounds
Able to set priorities and plan, coordinate and monitor work plans
Good facilitation skills for training small to medium groups
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Able to pick up new systems, processes and procedures quickly and align local practices with industry standards
Able to work in teams, pay attention to detail and see the bigger picture
