About the role
This role sits within the Transfer Pricing team of a global technology group, supporting transfer pricing matters across more than 30 countries. You will partner with internal finance and tax colleagues as well as external advisors, and the position is suited to an experienced tax or accounting professional who enjoys commercially minded problem solving.
What you'll do
Work with local teams and advisors to understand the business and any changes, so transfer pricing implications are properly considered
Support transfer pricing elements of business initiatives and projects, coordinating with other teams in the group tax, treasury and customs function
Support the implementation and upkeep of global transfer pricing policies and procedures
Track developments in transfer pricing law and practice, assess their impact and flag issues for timely resolution

Review transfer pricing documentation, returns and declarations, CbCR notifications, ACRs and other compliance filings prepared by advisors, and prepare them in selected countries without advisor support
Support functional interviews with internal stakeholders to understand the relevant FAR
Manage transfer pricing controversy, including audits and mutual agreement procedure work with advisors
Support transfer pricing planning, including operational transfer pricing, and advance pricing agreement applications
Identify potential transfer pricing risks, flag them promptly and help develop mitigation solutions
Analyse how transfer pricing policies affect financial performance and provide accurate, timely data to internal stakeholders
Support year end transfer pricing processes, including reviewing intercompany results and proposing adjustments
Develop and implement intercompany agreements
Review local statutory accounts to confirm appropriate transfer pricing results and propose adjustments where needed, liaising with advisors and the corporate tax and customs teams
Perform quarterly transfer pricing reviews to confirm local entities are appropriately remunerated, working with local finance and corporate tax teams on forecasts
Monitor intercompany transactions, including financing transactions, to confirm appropriate positions are taken and issues are rectified promptly
Review existing transfer pricing processes and suggest improvements, exploring artificial intelligence and automation where appropriate
Provide ad-hoc transfer pricing support to internal stakeholders and corporate tax or customs teams
Build and manage relationships with advisors, internal stakeholders and shared service teams
Provide support to other members of the transfer pricing team

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a business or economics related discipline preferred
CPA and/or advanced taxation certification is a plus
8+ years of experience in public accounting and/or a corporate environment
Big 4 and in-house experience, especially in FMCG, is a plus
Prior experience handling transfer pricing issues across multiple jurisdictions
Prior experience with APAs, MAPs, controversy management and transactional profit split application
