About the role

This role sits within the Treasury & Disbursement team at Prudential, handling end-to-end disbursement operations, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will manage high volumes of transactions under tight timelines and work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes. It suits someone with insurance accounting experience who is detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced finance environment.

What you'll do

Process daily payments for insurance payouts, vendors, staff reimbursements, commissions, incentives, and investment bank transfers accurately and on time
Respond to Life Operations queries about payment status and accounting codes for insurance and expense processing

Perform balance sheet reconciliations including bank, inter-fund, inter-company, and supporting schedules

Support month-end closing with accruals, provisions, fixed asset accounting, and expense allocations

Act as a system user and first-level troubleshooter for finance systems such as Life Asia, Oracle, Anaplan, and Alteryx

Identify, escalate, and resolve internal user enquiries related to systems or reports

Drive process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency, strengthen controls, and streamline workflows

Prepare ad-hoc schedules, provide audit documentation, and perform financial analysis for internal and external audits

Support finance projects, system enhancements, and other tasks assigned by management

Requirements

Experience in the insurance industry with understanding of insurance accounting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
Proven experience in payment processing, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end closing in a high-volume operational finance setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset
Highly motivated, delivery-focused, and able to work independently to meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in financial systems; Oracle Fusion experience preferred
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities under pressure
