About the role

A senior quality assurance role within a global bank's wealth client segment, focused on control testing and risk management. The position sits in the Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Testing team and suits an experienced risk, compliance or audit professional who can engage with senior management.

What you'll do

Assess activities and processes against applicable policies, standards and procedures to strengthen risk management quality
Conduct routine testing of internal activities and processes for adherence to quality standards and flag risks or non-compliance
Review stakeholder and client feedback and respond to quality assurance complaints or issues promptly
Support quality testing for business function quality control and transformation lead quality control after an activity or process completes

Help develop and run monitoring and testing for controls, including control design assessment and operational effectiveness design

Support reporting on quality control outcomes and control effectiveness to top management and stakeholders

Keep up to date with quality assurance testing tools and strategies

Apply understanding of the risk and control framework and its underlying risk fundamentals

Help teams with end-to-end monitoring of controls defined in risk management policy

Take part in review and challenge on control design and management, including control monitoring, handling deficiencies and escalating issues

Support embedding of risk and control responsibilities within the Central Testing Utility

Join Control & Monitoring Design Assessment meetings and help draft procedures

Identify monitoring breaks and suggest enhancements

Assess risk in business decisions, drive compliance with laws and regulations, apply ethical judgment and escalate control issues transparently

Requirements

6–10 years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit or similar control functions in financial services
Ability to identify, measure and manage key risks and controls
Strong knowledge of developing and executing controls
Proven control-related experience in the financial industry
Experience implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes
Understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations and best practices
