Wayfinding Designer

About the role

Design signage and wayfinding systems for mixed-use developments, townships, commercial, hospitality, retail, public realm and institutional projects. Translate branding, architecture and user experience strategies into clear, functional and visually compelling signage solutions. Prepare sign location plans, message schedules, wayfinding hierarchies, design presentations and detailed drawings including elevations, material specifications and fabrication details. Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and fabricators, coordinate with authorities on regulations and accessibility standards, and attend design workshops, meetings and site inspections. Conduct site surveys and wayfinding audits, and monitor fabrication quality and installation progress to ensure the final signage matches the approved design intent.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Environmental Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related design discipline
• 2–8 years of experience in wayfinding, signage, environmental graphics or related design fields
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD and 3D software (SketchUp or Rhino)
• Competency in Microsoft Office and large-format artwork preparation
• Knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, accessibility standards and code compliance
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
