About the role
This contract role sits within a 24/7 Cybersecurity Operations Centre supporting MAS, based at MAS Building. It suits someone with a security operations background who can monitor, detect and respond to threats while helping improve automation and procedures.
What you'll do
Work as an analyst within a round-the-clock security operations centre
Help develop and enhance the integrated SOC for advanced threat monitoring, detection, early warning and active defence
Investigate and respond to cybersecurity threats together with internal teams and cross-agency partners
Carry out threat monitoring, rules tuning, automation infrastructure work, threat hunting and security projects
Develop new detection rules as threats and the environment change
Produce periodic management reports
Improve efficiency and quality through automation
Take part in or lead internal, external and international forums, projects and exercises on cyber security
Good to know
Normal office hours, with off-office hours standby expected for exigencies
2-year contract position

Requirements
Background in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Experience with SIEM and EDR/XDR
Relevant SOC experience
Knowledge of hacking and digital investigations
Knowledge of networking, Windows administration or Linux administration
Knowledge of cloud services and infrastructure
