About the role

GovTech is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support the Attorney-General's Chambers on its digital transformation work. The role covers both product and project build, including co-sourced development with vendors and in-house work, with a focus on Legal GenAI applications. It suits an experienced engineer who can lead delivery and work closely with legal domain experts.

What you'll do

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex features, keeping technical designs robust, scalable and aligned with long-term goals
Drive adoption of high-quality engineering standards so systems stay maintainable, secure and reusable
Take an active part in architectural discussions and squad-level technical decisions, advocating modern development best practices
Lead the product build of Legal GenAI applications, incorporating LLMs, RAG architectures and Graph DB patterns
Independently navigate work-related dependencies and explain technical concepts to senior leads and legal domain experts

This is a 2-year fixed term contract

Requirements

At least 7 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience
Track record building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability software systems
Deep experience in modern full-stack web application architecture and development
Proficiency in TypeScript for frontend and backend development
Proficiency in Python for backend systems integrating GenAI capabilities
Hands-on experience with Generative AI development, including LLMs, RAG patterns, Graph DB patterns and AI-driven features
