About the role
You will join the Agency Sales Team within the Sales & Marketing Division, managing relationships with travel agencies and trade partners. This role suits someone who is organised, analytical and comfortable building relationships across the travel trade.
What you'll do
Meet passenger, revenue and market share targets for agency accounts
Manage a portfolio of agencies such as tour and cruise operators, consolidators and travel management companies
Understand each agency's needs, including typical origins and destinations, travel class, price sensitivity and segment served
Keep agencies informed of promotions, pricing and product through phone, email, face-to-face sales calls and in-house staff events
Gather market intelligence on competitor fares, promotions and activities
Prepare account plans with Sales Planning and adjust them periodically
Deploy solutions such as incentive agreements and ad-hoc fares to grow market share
Run interventions to improve performance, including joint marketing campaigns with agencies
Ensure incentive contract commitments such as service level agreements and joint events are met on time
File sales reports in Sales Management Tools with account and sales call information and action plans
Provide internal feedback where policies or processes hinder business, and work with relevant departments to make it easy for agencies to sell flights
Deliver growth from new and ad hoc opportunities
Identify group sales opportunities and execute them with support from Sales Ops (Groups)
Identify leads that can become managed corporate accounts and work with corporate Account Managers to pursue them
Track local events, disruptions, holidays and competitor actions to capture temporary or seasonal opportunities, and document results
Liaise with Network Revenue Management to secure ad-hoc group fares for religious and student groups, tracking tight tender deadlines
Monitor competitor activity and products and share findings with Sales Planning and Pricing
Study market segments and buying and selling patterns to find new selling opportunities
Handle new agency appointments, evaluations and related admin
Drive marketing collaborations and trade events
Take part in shared sales team duties
Participate in e-commerce projects related to Agency Sales, such as the Travel Agent Portal, SMT, Altea Group Management and New Distribution Capabilities
Represent the airline at industry events, trade shows and travel fairs
Drive adoption of NDC
Act as the point of contact linking interested agencies with Head Office departments and address communication gaps
Canvass the market to encourage agency sign-ups and promote the value of NDC and NDC content
Gather trade feedback and wish-lists and share them with Head Office to help develop content
Carry out any other relevant duties assigned

Requirements
Diploma in any discipline
Prior sales experience is an advantage
High proficiency in MS Office
Strong data analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills to build and leverage relationships
Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects
