About the role

This role supports the Analytical Tech Transfer Manager in a pharmaceutical laboratory setting, ensuring that testing activities, methods and specifications introduced or changed during a product's lifecycle are validated or verified to meet cGMP and regulatory quality standards. You will also support analytical testing needed to resolve process and method issues, method validation, and the introduction of new measurement technologies and tests for new products. It suits someone with a few years of analytical laboratory experience in a regulated environment who is comfortable with documentation, investigations and change control.

What you'll do

Draft, compile, review and update laboratory documents such as analytical methods and specifications, method validation or equivalency protocols and reports, and local procedures and guidelines related to GMP and the laboratory's operational framework

Make sure data used to resolve process and method issues is accurate enough to support the right corrective actions

Help formulate and develop plans for implementing new or improved testing technologies and methods for products or cleaning processes

Maintain a safe laboratory environment by taking part in or issuing safety risk assessments for product-specific methods, techniques or materials, and by carrying out 6S inspections

Lead or take part in investigations into laboratory incidents, assess the impact of failures, and recommend remedial or CAPA actions for follow-up

Own and support change that may affect product quality, validation or cGMP compliance, including assessing testing requirements, coordinating sample testing, commenting on change documentation, and ensuring changes and their actions are closed out

Requirements

At least 3 to 5 years of experience in an analytical environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical or another regulated industry
Good knowledge of GMP
Understanding of product specifications and method analysis
Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation
Familiarity with laboratory support procedures
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for method validation
