About the role
This role sits within the Private Banking business risk team, supporting the control environment across areas such as pricing, cross-border engagement and conduct. You will work closely with front office, compliance, legal and technology partners to shape policies and drive change. It suits someone with deep private banking experience who can manage risk, influence senior stakeholders and lead initiatives independently.
What you'll do
Review process frameworks such as pricing, cross-border and conduct to keep controls adequate, and develop process flows for strategic initiatives and operating models.
Partner with business and operational teams, CFCR, legal, business management, audit and technology to shape internal policies and drive strategic implementation for PvB controls.

Identify and address key risk areas in the private banking business through deep dives, reviews and data analytics.
Conduct gap analysis, flag areas of risk or concern and their business impact, and keep communication open with stakeholders and partners.
Manage projects, influence design and functional requirements through analysis, and document gaps, impacts and risks.
Coordinate working groups, business forums and governance meetings.
Advise front office on process requirements and system queries.
Support the group's business strategy by transforming PvB processes to uphold client experience and service delivery, and drive efficiency in control execution.
Help build culture and values, set tone and expectations, and work with risk and control partners.
Ensure ongoing training and development so critical functions are suitably skilled, qualified and supervised to mitigate risks.
Take execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating operational and reputational risks, ensuring adherence to internal standards, policies and the risk management framework.
Oversee governance of PvB Singapore and Hong Kong.
Display exemplary conduct, live the group's values and code of conduct, and embed high ethical standards across the bank.
Support the business in meeting the bank's conduct principles outcomes.
Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters collaboratively.

Requirements
7+ years of experience in private banking business with a good understanding of PvB business, clients and processes
Demonstrated track record of change delivery and/or relevant experience in risk and control management
Proven ability to work across business streams, with exposure to front-to-back system implementations
Familiarity with the regulatory landscape across Asia and experience working on pricing and cross-border topics
Ability to work proactively and independently, drive multiple agendas, manage priorities and show strong initiative
Continuous improvement and change management mindset, questioning conventional ways of managing the business
