About the role

A compliance role focused on financial crime compliance policy and governance at a long-established Singapore bank. You will work with senior stakeholders and regulators, shaping frameworks and risk culture across the group. It suits an experienced compliance professional who values judgment and influence over pure technical execution.

What you'll do

Act as secretariat for financial crime compliance management and governance forums, preparing materials, papers, minutes, decision records and action logs
Support Board and Senior Management oversight of the financial crime compliance programme
Provide subject matter expert views on risk assessments with front office, 1.5 line of defence and FCC stakeholders

Identify gaps in control measures and put forth recommendations for management and governance committee decisions

Cascade, implement and monitor group-wide risk appetite as risk appetite custodian

Advise stakeholders on politically-exposed person and geopolitical risks, including horizon scanning and assessing PEP risk exposures

Recommend policy outlining ML/TF risk appetite and AML/CFT controls for core markets

Assess higher geographic risk core markets and propose pragmatic risk mitigating measures with key stakeholders

Perform emerging risk scanning, trendspotting and monitoring via the FCC risk heatmap and risk awareness initiatives

Prepare Group Compliance reporting to Board and Senior Management on significant financial crime compliance matters and key metrics

Promote financial crime risk awareness and individual accountability, including risk culture initiatives for the private banking business

Support enterprise-wide reviews and programmes, and contribute to strategic initiatives and projects

Requirements

Degree in a relevant field such as law, finance or accounting
At least 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative work
Knowledge of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations
Experience in risk management and compliance
