About the role

This role leads the technical team at a bus workshop, keeping maintenance work productive and efficient. You will report on performance and drive projects that keep the fleet running well. It suits engineering graduates, including fresh ones with the right attitude, who enjoy hands-on operations and leading people.

What you'll do

Track how productively and efficiently workshop technical officers work.
Improve workshop processes so bus maintenance stays productive and efficient.
Put together monthly operational reports for management.
Meet bus fleet KPIs, including the QoS 1.3 target for breakdowns on service.
Make sure bus projects are implemented smoothly and finished on time.
Keep tools and equipment well used and maintained.
Check that technical officers replace parts according to maintenance requirements.
Review and upgrade the technical skills of technical officers.
Keep management and technical officers communicating and engaged.
Ensure the training hours target for the financial year is reached.

Requirements

At least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent
Preferably managers specialising in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent
Job role in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
