About the role
This role sits within the Singapore R&D department of a semiconductor company, focused on 3D NAND module process integration. You will design, develop and integrate process solutions that lift next-generation 3D NAND product yield and quality while keeping cost and performance competitive. It suits a highly experienced engineer who enjoys leading a module, running experiments and driving innovation from research into production.
What you'll do
Own one or more process modules tied to the development and operation of a 3D NAND integrated circuit.
Define structural specifications and process requirements for the modules you are assigned.
Set direction and a continual improvement plan for the module.
Spot potential structural, electrical and reliability issues early and address them through process control, using a model-based approach.
Work on structural development, electrical performance, parametric verification, process control and manufacturability assessment and optimisation.
Analyse materials physically and electrically, and work with process groups to select new materials and move material changes from research into production.
Design and run device and process experiments for development and integration, then extract, analyse and report results and judge their statistical significance.
Lead module development by assembling and coordinating a development team that includes process engineers.
Make key decisions for the team and set clear direction, goals and success metrics.
Innovate on complex design and process problems, explore new technology or device options, and file patent disclosures regularly.
Coordinate activities such as reticle tapeouts, flow/traveler changes and lot management across multi-functional teams so projects move quickly and with few errors.
Support transfer of new technology from R&D to high volume manufacturing.
Communicate key information and projects through presentations and group discussion, and drive decisions.
Keep growing technical and management skills through on-job training and training classes.
Use AI-assisted tools and insights in daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness, with sound judgment and compliance with organisational and legal standards.
Good to know
Based at Fab 10N/X, Singapore.
Full time position.
Requirements
Passionate about semiconductor technology and innovation
Adept at data analysis, problem-solving and process integration optimisation
Strong communication skills and able to collaborate in multi-functional teams
PhD with at least 15 years, or Master's with at least 17 years, in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field, plus semiconductor industry experience
Scripting, programming, engineering, business intelligence or analytics software skills such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau or Power BI are desirable
Able to build a strong end-to-end understanding of PI modules on new NAND technologies and related structural and electrical failure mechanisms
