About the role
This role is for a bartender at Marina Bay Sands, working within a bar team that serves guests in a fast-paced hospitality setting. It suits someone with a strong service mindset and an eye for detail who enjoys crafting drinks and looking after guests.
What you'll do
Deliver warm, courteous service and keep the guest experience welcoming and professional
Anticipate what guests need and respond quickly to requests, questions and feedback
Recommend beverages based on guest preferences, the menu and the occasion
Handle guest feedback and service recovery in a professional way
Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks accurately and efficiently, following approved recipes, portion sizes, glassware and presentation standards
Keep up strong knowledge of the drinks on offer, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and daily specials
Maintain consistent drink quality, taste, presentation and service timing
Set up and maintain bar workstations so they are ready for service
Keep bar areas, equipment and storage clean, organised and hygienic in line with safety and sanitation rules
Key in orders and process transactions accurately on the POS system
Complete opening, closing and assigned side duties
Monitor stock levels, top up par stocks and raise requisitions for supplies
Work closely with teammates so service flows smoothly
Attend daily briefings, departmental meetings and training sessions
Support colleagues during peak periods
Follow Marina Bay Sands and departmental policies, including service procedures, grooming, safety and workplace conduct
Use and care for bar equipment properly, and report maintenance or safety issues to the Manager on Duty
Take part actively in training and certification programmes and apply what you learn
Note and share guest preferences and feedback with management
Good to know
Shift work is required, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational needs
Training and certification programmes are provided
Requirements
1–3 years of bartending experience, ideally in a restaurant, bar, hotel or similar hospitality setting
Professional certifications such as WSQ or WSET are an advantage
Strong service mindset and attention to detail
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
