About the role

This role leads the revenue accounting team for the Group and owns revenue assurance controls. You will partner with Product, Billing, IS and other stakeholders to evaluate new and bundled sales arrangements, decide the right accounting treatment, fix reconciliation problems and strengthen the systems and processes behind accurate reporting. It suits an experienced accounting professional who enjoys both hands-on technical work and leading a team.

Oversee revenue and direct cost accounting, monthly closing and financial reporting in line with IFRS and Group policies.

Monitor revenue assurance controls and reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, assess their impact and drive corrective actions.

Keep a record of revenue assurance issues and report key findings to stakeholders.

Work with Product, Billing and IS teams to assess new products and make sure accounting processes and controls are ready before launch.

Review accounting treatment papers and process documentation for revenue and direct costs.

Oversee revenue assurance tools and support improvements to finance systems and reporting processes.

Manage and develop the revenue accounting team, and take on other projects as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification
Preferably at least six years' experience in audit, accounting or finance
Preferably at least three years in a managerial role
Strong working knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15
Experience in product and telecommunications revenue accounting preferred
Strong analytical skills and advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
