About the role

A private banking team in Singapore is hiring a KYC specialist to support relationship managers with client due diligence work. The role centres on preparing and maintaining accurate KYC documentation and CDD profiles that meet local rules and the bank's internal standards. It suits someone meticulous and structured who is comfortable with private banking client files and enjoys hands-on compliance work.

What you'll do

Prepare comprehensive KYC files and narratives with relationship managers for onboarding, periodic reviews and trigger events
Write SOW and SOF summaries with clear justifications, plausibility assessments and traceability
Review client structures such as individuals, companies, trusts and foundations, and check documentation completeness against local regulations

Make sure KYC profiles meet internal quality and compliance standards before they go for checking and approval

Advise relationship managers on CDD requirements and acceptable documentation

Help resolve queries raised by Compliance and Uplift teams

Escalate possible AML concerns or documentation gaps to Compliance or other control functions

Contribute to process improvements and share knowledge with the onboarding and KYC team

Uphold standards on honesty, integrity, due care, fair dealing, conflicts of interest, competence, risk management and regulatory compliance

Good to know

Full-time role based in Singapore
University degree or equivalent education in Banking and/or Finance is expected
At least 3–5 years of experience in KYC/CDD, AML compliance or financial crime remediation, including large-scale remediation or uplift programmes

Requirements

At least 3–5 years of experience in KYC/CDD, AML compliance or financial crime remediation, including large-scale remediation or uplift programmes
Strong technical knowledge of KYC risk assessment, SOW/SOF corroboration and financial crime compliance standards
Excellent analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusted partnerships with senior management
High level of flexibility and adaptability to change
