About the role

This role sits with a regional digital bank group and focuses on building and running data and AI governance across the business. You will work closely with data science, MLOps, product, technology and risk teams to embed privacy, accountability and fairness into products and processes. It suits someone with a few years of hands-on AI and data governance experience who enjoys shaping policy as much as implementation.

What you'll do

Partner with data engineering and MLOps teams on data architecture so enterprise data is stored and managed securely, and build governance solutions, metrics, reports and dashboards.
Aggregate data quality and AI controls and metrics using governance tools, reports and dashboards.
Implement governance solutions with APIs, automation and technologies such as Generative AI, working with IT, Data Engineering and IAM teams on access controls, retention and security.

Govern the lifecycle of traditional ML, Generative AI and agentic systems from ideation to production, defining frameworks to assess, mitigate and monitor AI risks.

Produce technical guidance, documentation and best practices on data and AI governance and responsible AI deployment.

Handle governance-related enquiries, complaints and audits, and coordinate the management and remediation of data and AI incidents.

Work with Data Stewards and Data Owners to implement and enforce the enterprise data governance framework, including EDaC policies, standards and procedures.

Work with Data Stewards to define and maintain critical data elements and translate business rules into technical data quality rules.

Good to know

Full time role based in Singapore.
Experience in banking, financial services or digital services in Singapore is preferred.

Requirements

At least 3 years of relevant experience
Strong understanding of AI technology including model validation, ML risk assessments, model monitoring and data governance
Hands-on experience across the AI and ML development lifecycle
Able to take a practical, risk-based approach balancing innovation with compliance
Able to understand business and technical requirements of AI, LLMs and large-scale data systems
Understanding of data governance principles, metadata management, model lineage, data access, data quality and data stewardship
