About the role

Patient Service Associates provide frontline counter support at NUHS Diagnostics clinics in the western region of Singapore. The role involves assisting patients with registration, appointments and enquiries, and providing administrative support to medical technologists and radiographers. It suits service-oriented individuals who are comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Receive and assist all appointment and walk-in patients at the Diagnostics counters

Verify two patient identifiers (NRIC and name) during electronic registration and confirm tests ordered by doctors

Schedule and book appointments accurately, including registration of eligible mammogram patients via the Breast Screen Singapore portal

Update patient particulars such as mailing address and contact number during mammogram registration

Communicate relevant instructions to patients before procedures or tests, and chaperone them to changing or counselling rooms where needed

Handle enquiries and deliver prompt, courteous service to internal and external customers

Collect payments when assigned to cashier duties and tally end-of-day sales with cash settlement and other transaction records

Ensure Medisave Authorization Forms are completed accurately with patient endorsement and that Medisave transactions are captured in EASIPOS

Apply promotions and discount vouchers accurately and validate their use via EASIPOS

Support the centre in-charge with administrative tasks such as dispatching lab and x-ray reports and documenting courier services

Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting officer

Meet customer service and quality KPIs set by the department

Follow up and support the reporting officer in handling patient relation issues

Adhere to policy and standard operating procedures

Be accurate and meticulous in cashiering duties when assigned

Working location: NUHS Diagnostics Clinics within National University Polyclinics, western region of Singapore

Requirements

GCE A/O/N levels or Higher NITEC qualification
Service-oriented and patient-focused
Proactive and resilient, able to work independently and in a team
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Good writing, interpersonal and communication skills
Aspire to service excellence and process improvements
