About the role

GovTech is hiring a Product Manager to lead the growth and success of an AI-powered workflow automation engine used for grant processes, with scope to take on other products in the portfolio over time. This is a hands-on builder and evangelist role rather than a backlog-administration one, suited to someone who is independent, high-agency and comfortable being the sole PM carrying a product forward. You will work closely with engineering, outreach, customer acquisition and business teams to drive adoption across the organisation.

What you'll do

Learn the workflow automation engine end to end and use it hands-on to build real grant-process workflows
Onboard new users and guide others through building their own workflows, acting as first port of call when someone is stuck

Seek out how different teams work, spot where automation can help before they ask, and translate that into feature ideas and product direction

Drive adoption through hands-on clinics, workshops, demos, playbooks, lighthouse use cases and other creative tactics

Work directly with outreach, customer acquisition and business teams to surface use cases, showcase the product and help them succeed

Convert field learnings into a prioritised, evidence-backed view of what matters most for engineering

Partner with engineers on AI features, agents, automation, generation and recommendation capabilities

Take on additional products as you scale, and identify, validate and shape new product opportunities

Requirements

Track record of owning a product or platform and driving adoption across users and stakeholders you did not control
Independent and high-agency, able to identify work that needs doing and do it without being told
Comfortable being the sole PM carrying a product forward
Genuinely curious and technical enough to go deep, learn a product to expert level, build in it and teach others
Customer-obsessed, able to translate messy real-world needs into clear product ideas
Strong stakeholder and communication skills, able to understand another department's problems and run a compelling demo
