About the role

This role sits with GovTech's product team, driving the organisation's finance ERP platform so it meets finance operations, audit and compliance needs. You will own the product across its whole lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and adoption, and work closely with finance, IT and policy colleagues. It suits someone with a few years of product management behind them who is comfortable with enterprise finance systems and cross-functional coordination.

What you'll do

Set and share a clear product vision and strategy for the finance ERP platform, in line with finance operations, audit and compliance needs and wider organisational goals.
Run discovery work such as user research, interviews with finance stakeholders and process walkthroughs to surface pain points and unmet needs in areas like accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and financial reporting.

Use quantitative and qualitative data, including usage metrics, finance process KPIs and audit findings, to inform product decisions and track the impact of changes.

Turn strategy into functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that reflect finance business rules, data integrity standards and integration dependencies.

Spot and manage risks through the product lifecycle, such as data migration issues, integration failures, compliance gaps and change management challenges, and keep the risk register updated.

Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, weighing regulatory and compliance requirements against operational improvements and strategic enhancements.

Work closely with finance operations, IT and engineering, enterprise architecture, internal audit and policy teams so the platform meets functional and governance needs.

Communicate roadmap updates, system change impacts and go-live timelines to senior finance leadership, the CFO office and other key stakeholders, managing expectations across workstreams.

Plan and run ERP releases and feature rollouts, including coordinating user acceptance testing, assessing training needs and providing post-launch hypercare, then monitor adoption and iterate from user feedback and system performance.

Requirements

At least 3 years of product management experience
Preferably experienced with ERP systems (SAP preferred), enterprise finance platforms or finance process digitalisation
Solid grasp of core finance processes and concepts such as procure-to-pay, record-to-report, financial controls and regulatory compliance
Track record of managing cross-functional teams and aligning finance, IT and operations stakeholders with differing priorities
Experience with ERP implementation or enhancement programmes, including change management, data migration and system integration
Technical fluency to discuss system design, API integrations, data models and ERP technical constraints with architects and engineers
