About the role
This role is a senior application support position within a global markets technology team, focused on the commodities trading business. You will work closely with trading desks, operations, and other technology groups to keep critical trading applications running smoothly. It suits an experienced support professional who is comfortable in a fast-paced trading environment and enjoys solving complex production issues.
What you'll do
Partner with multiple technology teams to ensure functions are integrated properly and goals are met
Identify and define system enhancements, analyse existing system logic, and recommend and implement solutions
Provide day-to-day BAU support for the Singapore Global Commodities business and downstream teams
Support systems such as OpenLink Endur (ETRM), Simpliciti (Risk/PV), and e-trading platforms
Ensure near 100% availability of applications and infrastructure, and define stability measures to reduce outages
Support the full commodities trade life cycle, including pricing, ECN connectivity, trade booking, executions, risk management, middle office, back office, and regulatory reporting flows
Raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams while adhering to Service Level Agreements
Build and maintain technical support documentation
Act as a liaison between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors
Participate in application releases from development through testing and deployment, and perform post-release checkouts
Own support project items covering stability, efficiency, and effectiveness initiatives
Work with development colleagues to prioritise bug fixes and support tooling
Log and update all production issues according to support team policies and procedures
Share information effectively with other support team members and technology teams
Handle end-of-day batch issues and communicate risk to trading desks and downstream systems
Persuade and influence others through strong communication and diplomacy skills
Perform other duties and functions as assigned
Assess risk when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and escalating control issues with transparency

Excellent exposure to a continually improving commodities technology stack and award-winning business desks in Global Markets
Direct ability to liaise and own issues outside of commodities technology, such as middle office, operations, front office, and business unit management
Internal Citi and external markets training is highly supported, including direct exposure to business SMEs who lead deep dives into oil, gas, power, and structured/index products
Requirements
5-10 years of experience in application support or a related field
Prior experience with e-trading support or front office support
Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and ability to build ad hoc queries
Working knowledge of Python scripting
Demonstrable hands-on application support experience in a global markets related business
Exposure to cloud technologies and DevOps (CI/CD) tools and techniques
