About the role
This role sits with the Customs eServices team, a digital platform serving thousands of companies and public agencies. You will lead the strategy, delivery and ongoing operation of G2B and G2G products that support trade facilitation and compliance. It suits an experienced product manager who enjoys working with business, policy and engineering partners on public sector digital services.
What you'll do
Define the product vision, strategy and roadmap in line with the agency's mission and user needs
Carry out market research, user interviews and data analysis to spot opportunities and guide decisions
Manage project integration, scope, time, budget, quality, communication, risks, procurement and stakeholders
Work with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyse and prioritise product requirements
Turn complex user needs into clear plans, user stories and specifications
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualisation through launch, iteration and end-of-life planning
Collaborate with vendors, engineering, design, data, policy, business process and technical operations teams
Serve as the main point of contact for product-related matters
Champion a problem-solving, user-centric design approach with product designers
Define KPIs and OKRs, track product performance, analyse data and identify improvements
Communicate product updates, progress and challenges to senior management and external partners
Lead and take part in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
Identify and mitigate risks and issues across product development
Engage in technical discussions with engineers on software development, cloud-based web technologies, platforms, testing, onboarding, interfaces and data
Improve the product development process by identifying gaps, driving best practices and fostering continuous learning
Remain accountable for delivering meaningful outcomes and public value through the product team's work

Requirements
Experience defining product vision, strategy and roadmaps
Strong project management skills covering integration, scope, time, budget, quality, communication, risks, procurement and stakeholders
Ability to gather, analyse and prioritise product requirements with business and technical stakeholders
Experience owning an end-to-end product lifecycle
Able to work with vendors, engineering, design, data, policy, business process and technical operations teams
