About the role
This role supports NEA's public health products at GovTech, sitting between operations, data and product delivery. You will partner with Product Managers, Engineers and NEA's public health operations teams to keep products running well and make sure they work for the people using them. It suits someone with product or tech team experience who thinks in outcomes and can handle ambiguous problems across several product areas.
What you'll do
Co-own outcome metrics such as case closure speed, tool adoption and officer productivity
Build relationships across product, engineering and NEA's public health teams
Set up and maintain processes using DevOps tools and platforms
Set up and maintain the product intelligence layer, including data pipelines, dashboards and feedback repositories
Surface actionable insights that Product Managers act on
Track whether insights lead to changes, such as feedback becoming a feature or a dashboard changing a decision
Help teams move from Excel-and-RPA tracking to real-time dashboards built into the product
Design playbooks, templates and operating standards that teams default to
Own risk and incident management for your product areas
Support legacy-to-new system transitions, running old and new in parallel without disrupting live operations
Run audit support and ensure compliance with agency standards
Challenge existing processes and share what works and what failed
Implement tracking dashboards for system resiliency
Design feedback loops to collect, triage and route user feedback at scale
Build operating cadences across product, engineering, ops and vendors
Standardize status reporting to users, management and senior stakeholders for all systems
Mentor team members and grow the Product Ops practice within the agency
Drive OKRs that connect operational work to product and agency outcomes

Requirements
4-10 years in product operations, ops management or a related coordination-heavy role
Excellent stakeholder management
Experience working in a product or tech team, with exposure to sprint rituals, roadmap trade-offs and shipping under constraints
Has worked as or with product managers, engineers and designers, not just managed timelines
Can work independently on ambiguous problems across multiple product areas
Comfortable using Jira, Confluence and other DevOps tools
