About the role
This role supports the IT Manager in running and improving the local subsidiary's IT operations, covering infrastructure, support and digital projects. It sits within a luxury group environment and suits an experienced IT professional who can handle both hands-on technical work and project coordination.
What you'll do
Keep core IT infrastructure running reliably, including LAN, wireless networks, internet links, servers, storage, backups, printing and security systems such as anti-malware and firewalls.
Lead Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for system issues, user queries and SAP support, with a customer-focused approach.
Supervise setup, installation and upkeep of IT equipment such as computers, peripherals, software and mobile devices in line with company standards.

Manage hardware and software inventory, plan hardware refresh cycles and optimise asset lifecycle management.
Develop, roll out and enforce IT operational reports, procedures and policies to improve service delivery and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security protocols and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and guide junior IT staff to build their technical skills and careers.
Support the IT Manager on IT project deployments in office and boutique settings, keeping projects on time, in scope and within budget.
Drive digital transformation by researching, identifying and evaluating new technologies and solutions for business challenges.
Oversee training on IT infrastructure and applications to improve user adoption and digital literacy.
Work closely with the Regional Digital Development team as a local liaison, promoting in-house digital products and assisting with rollouts.
Recommend new technologies and solutions to management to improve operational efficiency and business services.
Manage IT procurement, including purchase orders, goods receipt verification, invoice tracking and reconciliation.
Oversee IT vendor management in SAP, including creating, extending and updating vendor records.
Lead vendor relationships, negotiate service level agreements and conduct cost-benefit analysis for large IT procurements.

Occasional after-hours project work may be required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related technical field
At least 5 years of progressive experience in IT roles
Proven expertise in IT infrastructure management, helpdesk operations and project delivery
Strong experience in a Windows environment, including Office 365, SharePoint and Exchange
Experience with Retail Point-Of-Sales (POS) systems and SAP is highly desirable
Advanced understanding of networking protocols and services such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, FTP and Proxy
