About the role

This role sits with Databricks' field engineering team in Singapore, acting as the post-sale technical lead for the company's largest and most complex accounts. You will blend technical depth with commercial strategy, guiding customers from initial win through to production use of the platform. It suits someone with strong data and AI delivery experience who is comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and coordinating across multiple teams.

What you'll do

Work with Solutions Architects to map out the full use case demand plan for priority customers
Own the post-sale technical account strategy and execution plan for key use cases in strategic accounts
Act as the accountable technical lead for specific use cases and customers across several selling teams and internal stakeholders, driving onboarding, enablement, go-live and healthy consumption

Serve as first point of contact for technical issues or questions about production and go-live status of agreed use cases

Draw on shared services, user education, onboarding, technical services and support resources, and escalate to expert-level technical experts when work falls outside your scope

Create, own and execute a point of view on how key use cases can be accelerated into production, coordinating with Professional Services on delivery of engagement proposals

Navigate Databricks product and engineering teams for new product innovations, private previews and upgrade needs

Develop an execution plan covering all customer-facing technical roles and teams across work streams such as moving use cases from win to production, enablement and user growth, product adoption, organic needs like cloud cost control and tuning, and executive and operational governance

Provide internal and external updates, including KPI reporting on usage and customer health, investment status, risks, product adoption and use case progression, to your Technical GM

Reports directly to a Field Engineering Manager
Travel required up to 30% when needed

Requirements

8+ years accountable for technical project or program delivery in Data and AI, able to contribute to technical debate and design choices with customers
Programming experience in Python, SQL or Scala
Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success or consulting role
Understanding of solution architecture for distributed data systems
Understanding of how to attribute business value and outcomes to specific project deliverables
Technical program or project management including account, stakeholder and resource management accountability
