Lead and supervise a team of stewards, including full-time and casual part-timers, to keep the restaurant clean and running smoothly. Oversee cleaning of floors, walls, equipment, ice machines, shelves, filters, holloware, dishwashing areas, trolleys, garbage areas and toilets. Maintain inventory of operating supplies and equipment, and ensure par levels are met. Support the Stewarding Leadership Team with scheduling, recruitment, performance appraisals, training and HR matters. Conduct on-the-job training for new stewards and ensure safety, hygiene and sanitation standards are followed. Coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and relay guest feedback to senior stewarding management.
