About the role

This role supports patient services within the Specialist Outpatient Clinics, covering consultation rooms, financial counselling and appointment scheduling. You will work closely with doctors, nurses and other hospital departments to keep clinic operations running smoothly and patients well informed. It suits someone organised, comfortable with administrative and basic clinical support tasks, and keen to learn in a hospital setting.

What you'll do

Help keep the clinic ready for patients and visitors by checking inventory levels and that equipment is clean and working
Assist in consultation rooms, including retrieving and returning patient records around appointments

Accompany doctors during consultations and provide language translation

Prepare and support doctors for physical examinations, minor procedures and surgical procedures

Carry out basic patient care such as measuring height, weight and vital signs, and recording them in the EMR

Conduct financial counselling and procedural counselling

Schedule patients for surgery and endoscopy procedures

Follow hospital policies and standard work processes

Handle patient and staff enquiries about clinic services, appointments and billing

Support accurate and timely billing by making sure required information is entered correctly

Maintain service standards through clear communication and help manage feedback from patients and stakeholders

Support coordination and communication when appointment schedules change

Help monitor and manage clinic appointments, scheduling and patient requests in the Electronic Medical Records System

Work with other hospital departments to carry out hospital policies and procedures

Take part in improvement efforts to raise care quality and unit work processes

Assist with data collection or feedback on new work processes and report outcomes to the supervisor

Join ongoing education and training to keep professional competency

Provide cross-departmental support when needed

Perform other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer

Temporary contract role based in Singapore
Minimum qualification: GCE "N" Level, ITE NITEC, ITE Higher Nitec or Diploma
Relevant healthcare or clinic experience is an advantage

Requirements

Minimum GCE "N" Level, ITE NITEC, ITE Higher Nitec or Diploma
Positive attitude, initiative and willingness to learn
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Healthcare or clinic experience is an advantage
