About the role

Join the Singapore equities investment team as a research analyst covering the local market. You will dig into company and sector fundamentals and bring clear stock recommendations to the investment team. This suits someone with a few years of equities research experience who can work independently and spot opportunities.

What you'll do

Keep up to date with the investment philosophy and process of the Singapore Investment Centre and the wider firm, and follow it throughout the investment process
Apply investment theory and quantitative techniques used by the centre
Analyse qualitative factors relevant to a company
Carry out security analysis covering cash flows, balance sheets, profit and loss statements and DCF, judge when the market misprices a company, and factor in ESG considerations
Track economic and financial trends in assigned countries and how they affect markets, sectors and stock models
Follow the political situation in assigned markets and its potential impact
Initiate research on the Singapore market, including detailed sector and company analysis leading to a security conclusion and stock recommendation with a clear thesis and valuation
Plan and make your own visits in assigned markets and produce detailed research reports using the firm's investment framework on time
Write summary reports from meetings and conference calls
Recommend stock ideas to the investment team for the portfolio with consistent alpha generation
Monitor recommendations and market movements to recommend buy or sell decisions that add value

Good to know

Hybrid working arrangement
1–3 years of relevant experience required
Singapore market equities research experience is an advantage
Python experience for financial analysis, data work, quantitative research or automation is preferred
Familiarity with Bloomberg and financial modelling is an advantage

Requirements

Equities research experience in the Singapore market is an advantage
Python for financial analysis, data manipulation, quantitative research, automation or investment research workflows is preferred
Proficiency with financial information systems such as Bloomberg and financial modelling is an advantage
