Work with sales to define the technical scope
Review and clarify customer specifications and tender documents
Review and finalise the C/D/E document
Provide technical specifications and define the equipment scope of supply
Coordinate with factory and local suppliers to align the scope of supply
Obtain quotes and proposals from suppliers and contractors in a timely manner
Define electrical and mechanical system requirements for walk-in genset enclosures to match project specifications
Deliver end-to-end design solutions with engineering drawings and technical documentation
Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations to verify designs and support equipment and supplier selection
Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, codes and regulatory requirements
Use engineering tools, technical databases and factory standards to deliver standardised solutions
Support the project lifecycle through technical issue resolution, knowledge management, and presentations and training for stakeholders
Review and approve technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, P&IDs and datasheets for compliance with customer specifications
Finalise equipment scope, manage procurement alignment and raise purchase requisitions
Troubleshoot electrical, automation and mechanical system issues during project execution
Drive continuous improvement through design reviews and lessons learned
Support procurement in supplier development
Keep up to date with market and internal product technical developments
Travel overseas on business when required
Take on special assignments from time to time Good to know Based in Tukang, Singapore (West) Permanent contract Overseas business travel required when needed Relocation assistance is not available Requirements Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics engineering or a related discipline At least 5 years of proven experience in the diesel engine/generator industry or electrical industry, with delivered projects Deep expertise in either electrical or mechanical genset systems (automation, protection, cooling, fuel, ventilation) Ability to integrate cross-disciplinary knowledge into optimised genset enclosure designs Strong engineering calculation skills in electrical (e.g. load flow, short circuit) and/or mechanical systems (e.g. sizing, thermal/airflow) Track record of conceptualising and delivering complex electro-mechanical solutions with performance and cost focus Apply on the company website
