About the role
This role is for a bartender at a club venue within a large integrated resort in Singapore. You will join a team of hospitality professionals and be responsible for running the bar to a high standard of service. It suits someone with solid bartending experience who enjoys a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
What you'll do
Keep up to date with all bar menu items, including food and drink offerings.
Know the liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic options served at the bar.
Be familiar with wines and champagnes available by the glass and the wider wine list.
Use the correct glassware and garnishes for each drink.
Understand menu items in detail, including preparation, ingredients, portion sizes, presentation and pricing.
Stay informed about daily specials and items that are out of stock.
Know the bar layout, table set-ups and operating hours.
Enter items into the Info Genesis system.
Keep track of daily arrivals, departures and VIP guests.
Be aware of in-house group activities, their locations and timings.
Maintain and correctly use bar equipment.
Follow all departmental policies and service procedures.
Attend line-ups with colleagues and review information relevant to the day's business.
Check your own grooming and attire against standards.
Meet with Captains or the Manager to go over daily specials and out-of-stock items, and make sure other staff are informed.
Communicate closely with Captains and Service Attendants to deliver quality service.
Assist other bartenders and service attendants when needed.
Carry out work and side duties according to departmental procedures.
Keep storage areas stocked, organised and clean, and fix any issues raised by superiors.
Replenish supplies and equipment to par levels, and raise requisitions for shortages or extra items.
Upsell to guests whenever possible.
Move linens to the bar when required.
Prepare special items for events as requested by superiors.
Take meal breaks as assigned.
Set up workstations and pantries to departmental standards.
Make sure all materials and equipment are ready for service based on business needs.
Follow all procedures to departmental standards.
Take part in designated meetings and training sessions.

Requirements
At least 12 months of bartending experience
Legal age to handle alcohol for work purposes
Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism is an advantage
