About the role
Mandai Nature is the conservation arm of Mandai Wildlife Group, a Singapore non-profit focused on biodiversity protection across Singapore and Asia. The communications manager will shape how the organisation's programmes, partnerships and research are told to the public, working with programme teams, group colleagues and external creative partners. It suits an experienced communications professional who writes well, cares about wildlife conservation and enjoys juggling several projects at once.
What you'll do
Create content that highlights conservation programmes, partnerships, research and community work
Spot storytelling opportunities by working with programme teams and partners
Lead production of the annual impact report, newsletters, website copy, event materials and other assets
Support fundraising and outreach with case for support documents, event collaterals and campaign communications
Keep an editorial calendar and coordinate contributions from across the organisation
Run the organisation's social media platforms and content calendar
Write, schedule and publish social media posts
Produce content on programme impact, project updates, partnerships, team members and conservation milestones
Track and analyse social media results and suggest ways to grow engagement and reach
Keep up with social media trends and digital engagement opportunities
Support internal communications with Mandai Wildlife Group teams such as Life Sciences, Education, Communications, Brand and Partnerships Development
Build relationships with stakeholders to source content, gather updates and find communications openings
Handle communications requests and coordinate supporting materials
Review presentations, reports, publications and other materials for factual accuracy and brand consistency
Develop and maintain templates, guidelines and communications resources for internal teams
Give editorial support and communications advice to colleagues
Support media outreach by finding story opportunities and preparing media materials
Draft press releases, media pitches, fact sheets and briefing materials
Coordinate media interviews, filming opportunities and media visits
Maintain media contact lists and build relationships with journalists and outlets
Ensure materials follow brand guidelines and visual identity
Work with designers, photographers, videographers and external agencies on communication assets
Advise on visual presentation to maximise audience engagement
Run quality assurance reviews so materials are accurate, consistent and on brand
Lead communications for fundraising donor events, outreach events, exhibitions and public engagement initiatives including the Festival of Biodiversity
Develop creative content and messaging that drives audience participation
Manage event communication materials, signage, digital content and post-event storytelling

Requirements
Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English or a related field
At least 5 years of relevant communications, PR, content marketing or similar experience
Preferably background in non-profit, conservation or environmental sector
Experience running social media channels and creating digital content
Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and managing projects at the same time
Experience with creative agencies, designers, photographers and video production vendors is an advantage
