About the role

This senior role owns enterprise-wide portfolio strategy, making sure investments deliver measurable business value and stay aligned with corporate goals. You will lead portfolio governance, shape decisions at the most senior levels, and take responsibility for prioritisation, resource optimisation and benefits realisation. It suits an experienced portfolio or program leader who is comfortable working across business and technology teams in a large, complex organisation.

What you'll do

Build and maintain a strategic portfolio roadmap that reflects corporate objectives and can adapt to change.
Design a standard intake framework and prioritise initiatives by business value and strategic impact.
Monitor throughput, resource use and delivery efficiency, and remove bottlenecks to improve flow.

Define, track and report on KPIs, OKRs and value metrics to confirm outcomes are achieved.

Forecast, allocate and adjust resources to match portfolio demand and delivery timelines.

Track portfolio performance, risks and costs, and escalate risks with recommended mitigation.

Lead complex cross-functional programs using both traditional and adaptive delivery models.

Influence senior leaders, initiative owners, Product Owners, Digital Platform Owners and Technology Leads.

Run decision-making forums and keep stakeholders across business and technology informed.

Identify and manage cross-portfolio risks and dependencies, coordinating mitigation and contingency plans.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance or a related field
10–15 years in portfolio and program management within large, complex enterprises
Experience influencing executive decision-making
Track record of driving strategic alignment and value realisation
Experience leading cross-functional programs and initiatives
Resource capacity planning and optimisation experience
