This role supports the senior management team at a restaurant outlet in Marina Bay Sands, helping to run daily operations and lead a service team. You will work alongside Captains, Cashiers, Hosts and Service Attendants to keep service standards high and the outlet running smoothly. It suits someone with managerial experience in a deluxe restaurant or five-star hotel setting who enjoys leading people and managing guest experience.

What you'll do

Assist the General Manager and Assistant General Manager with planning, coordinating and managing staff and services
Lead a team of Captains, Cashiers, Hosts and Service Attendants
Help formulate and implement operating procedures and standards
Manage and develop staff, and liaise with executive management on outlet goals
Support the management team in meeting financial, service and related targets
Deputize for the General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Manager when needed
Work with staff on service and food preparation to reduce wastage and improve productivity
Review operating results with the team and identify ways to improve performance
Monitor cashiering procedures for compliance with accounting standards and control consumable wastage and labour ratios
Inspect table set-ups, cleanliness and neatness of the restaurant
Check food items are set in proper quantities and meet hotel standards
Review the reservation book, pre-assign tables and follow up on special requests
Ensure menus and wine lists are available and in good condition for each meal period
Anticipate busy periods and organise procedures for long queues, seeking support from other outlets
Run pre-shift meetings and review information relevant to the day's business
Respond to guest comments, requests and complaints promptly and professionally
Supervise, mentor, train, schedule and evaluate staff, and prepare and deliver staff reviews
Create a work environment that encourages teamwork, feedback, recognition and mutual respect
Monitor guest reactions and check in with service staff or captains to maintain satisfaction
Manage HR responsibilities for the department, including hiring, training, succession planning and policy compliance
Maintain staff files
Handle reviews, discipline, staff awards, flex days, payroll and SRFs
Approve schedules and flex day requests for restaurant staff
Coordinate staff training as required
Coordinate inventories and order food, beverage products, supplies and equipment
Maintain guest profiles daily and take appropriate action
Hold daily pre-shift and departmental meetings as needed
