About the role

You'll be the main point of contact for guests at Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon, handling front desk duties along with food and beverage service in the Great Room. The role suits someone reliable, motivated and comfortable juggling several tasks at once while working closely with the rest of the hotel team. It's a part-time position for a people-person who enjoys direct guest contact.

What you'll do

Support the Duty Manager in growing hotel revenue using company systems and processes
Process guest check-outs and billing smoothly and courteously
Communicate and coordinate daily with all team members to keep service reliable
Take part in team engagement programmes aligned with brand service behaviours
Plan and assign work and help set performance and development goals as directed by the Duty Manager
Follow federal, state and local laws plus safety regulations
Greet, register and confirm guest details and payment on check-in, and issue keys
Print and confirm payment and bill details on check-out
Answer guest questions clearly and in line with brand standards
Handle guest complaints appropriately following brand standards
Manage cashiering, payments and foreign currency exchange accurately
Attend to special requests from guests and returning visitors
Follow all brand standards, behaviours and licence requirements
Retrieve and print arrival, departure, backup and trace reports from the Oasis PMS for daily room allocation
Enter and update reservations accurately
Handle telephone enquiries efficiently
Work independently as business needs require
Take food and beverage orders and clear tables in the Great Room
Replenish food and beverage items in the Great Room
Set up the meeting room and prepare tea and coffee
Keep guest areas tidy and pick up debris in public areas
Keep up to date with local knowledge to improve the guest experience
Handle IHG Rewards Club enrolments and recognition
Assist with finance and admin tasks such as petty cash, purchasing and billing
Follow occupational health and safety policies and procedures
Be aware of duty of care and comply with health and safety legislation
Know property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures, and use equipment safely
Act to correct hazards and alert supervisors to potential dangers
Support corporate responsibility initiatives in community, environment, workplace health and safety, and food safety
Carry out other duties assigned by the Duty Manager, Assistant Rooms Division Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager
