About the role
A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics is a national research institute driving innovation in advanced packaging, silicon photonics, piezoMEMS, power electronics, RF GaN, flat optics, and integrated circuit design. As part of the Corporate Services team, you will oversee the purchasing function to keep operations running efficiently. This role suits a resourceful and motivated individual who enjoys working with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll do
- Manage tender documentation and processes, including working with stakeholders on tender requisition, evaluation, seeking approval for award, and contract management.
- Prepare and raise purchase requests, including non-tender purchase requests, based on user department requirements.
- Implement procurement policies and procedures to align with business needs, offering guidance to stakeholders to support informed purchasing decisions while balancing public accountability, prudent use of resources, and operational efficiency.
