About the role

NTUC Health runs nursing homes, senior day care and home care services across Singapore, and this role is based at a residential care facility in Chai Chee. You will lead nursing standards and quality assurance for residents, guiding a care team through audits, policies and staff development. It suits an experienced nurse with a nursing degree and SNB registration who is ready to take on a management position in geriatric care.

Lead quality assurance activities that monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care

Plan and conduct quality audits on a regular basis

Follow up on areas needing corrective improvement

Keep written policies, procedures and work processes current and available to guide nursing care

Monitor residents' smooth transition from acute to chronic care and back to the community where possible

Direct resident care to ensure it meets standards

Ensure the right skills mix and sufficient manpower for all shifts and service types

Direct and facilitate staff development, competency upgrading and in-house training, including the latest nursing techniques

Implement new techniques or procedures where appropriate

Guide orientation, induction and preceptorship programmes for new staff

Good to know

Based at a residential care facility in Chai Chee
Two to three years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home or geriatric ward is preferred

Requirements

Degree in Nursing
Valid practising certificate from the Singapore Nursing Board
Valid BCLS certification
Preferably two to three years' experience in a similar role in a nursing home or geriatric ward
