About the role
You will join the Properties Department, looking after facilities management for assigned SIA-owned and leased premises across Singapore. The role covers everything from maintenance and soft services to projects, bookings and compliance, working with internal teams, vendors and authorities. It suits someone with a building or engineering background who enjoys hands-on operations and sustainability work.
What you'll do
Lead a team to deliver systematic, cost-effective and responsive maintenance of building equipment, systems and common services.
Oversee the Building Operations Centre, making sure service requests, feedback and complaints are handled promptly and tracked to closure.
Manage Integrated Facilities Management and other FM service contracts, checking performance against specifications, SLAs/KPIs and statutory compliance.
Plan and manage energy and utility consumption to meet sustainability targets such as Green Mark and energy management goals.
Prepare, manage and control operating and capital expenditure budgets, including forecasting, cost estimation and tracking of project and maintenance spending.
Plan and manage improvement and retrofitting projects across the full lifecycle from feasibility and design to procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover.
Liaise with authorities, regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders on statutory requirements, licences, inspections and permits for property and facilities.
Assist the Manager with feasibility studies, site assessments, technical evaluations and lifecycle costing for FM strategies.
Handle administrative functions for building and facilities operations, including procurement, requisition processing, documentation, asset tracking and service level monitoring.
Drive continuous improvement in FM service delivery, maintenance regimes, digitalisation and customer experience through reviews, root cause analysis and system enhancements.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of service providers for safety, regulatory, environmental and quality standards, and close out findings promptly.
Work closely with building occupants and business units on operational needs, project schedules, space requirements and facility bookings.
Keep up with new technologies and best practices, and push Smart FM, energy optimisation and digital building initiatives.
Lead the IFM team during emergencies such as system failures, fire alarms or business continuity events, and maintain and test emergency response plans.
Promote a workplace culture of safety, service excellence, environmental stewardship and stakeholder engagement within the FM team.
Perform other duties as assigned to support facility management operations.

Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Building, Facilities Management or a related discipline
Fresh graduates welcome; internship or work experience in facilities management, engineering or building maintenance is an advantage
Basic understanding of FM operations, building services and systems including MEP, ACMV, P&S and fire protection
Certifications such as BCA GMAP (FM), SCEM, WEMP or FSM are advantageous but not mandatory
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good communication and interpersonal skills
A team player with a proactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
