About the role

A research associate position is available at the Asian Centre for Health Behavioural Insights & Interventions (HABITS), a partnership between NTU and the National Healthcare Group, based at the NTU Main Campus. You will work closely with the Centre's Pillar Leads and Directors to support research project management and the development of competitive grant applications. This role suits someone with a strong AI or machine learning background who is keen to apply their skills to healthcare research.

What you'll do

Develop, validate, and deploy AI algorithms for digital health and AI-driven research projects.

Lead technical innovation by exploring and implementing emerging AI methodologies.

Support data platform development and retrospective data collection and analysis.

Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, coordinators, and biostatisticians to deliver project outcomes.

Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present results to investigators and collaborators.

Prepare technical reports and research updates for project leadership.

Mentor junior AI researchers and contribute to capability building within the team.

Support day-to-day research operations including data storage, budgets, expenses, assets, and ethics approvals.

Requirements

At least a Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
Entry level with demonstrated expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, or digital health technologies
Strong expertise in developing and applying AI solutions to real-world healthcare challenges
Good understanding of clinical research and healthcare data
Proficiency in machine learning, deep learning, and advanced AI techniques
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
