About the role
This role sits within the credit documentation team at Bank of Singapore, supporting the preparation, review and safekeeping of facility, security and ancillary documents. You will work closely with legal counsels, valuers, custodians and Front Office colleagues to keep documentation accurate and compliant. It suits someone with a strong control mindset who can manage documentation processes independently.
What you'll do
Prepare standard and bespoke facility, security and ancillary documentation based on approved credit terms and internal requirements
Make sure conditions precedent, covenants, security provisions and jurisdictional requirements are properly included
Support preparation and issuance of ad hoc documentation, amendments and waivers
Review executed documentation for completeness, fulfilment of conditions precedent, collateral perfection and adherence to approved credit terms
Review legal opinions and documentation-related advice, assess implications and work with stakeholders to resolve issues
Verify compliance with credit approvals and internal requirements
Manage end-to-end tracking of document issuance, execution, return and outstanding items
Track document deficiencies, ensure security is perfected and escalate according to internal guidelines
Liaise independently with internal and external stakeholders including legal counsels, valuers and custodians
Provide timely support and guidance to Front Office and internal stakeholders on documentation matters
Ensure timely lodgment, safekeeping and maintenance of documentation and credit files
Perform periodic reviews and control checks on security documentation and collateral records
Support audit, compliance and regulatory review activities
Participate in projects, system enhancements, UATs and process improvement initiatives
Assist in reviewing and enhancing procedures, guidelines and documentation templates

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Business or a related discipline preferred
Relevant professional experience may be considered
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a credit documentation role in a similar environment
Experience in private banking documentation is advantageous
Experience with real estate financing, securities-backed lending, premium financing and related collateral documentation will be highly beneficial
Strong knowledge of credit and security documentation within a banking environment
