Sales Executive

What you'll do

• Contact the right person or department to resolve guest calls, requests or problems
• Use sales techniques such as up-selling to maximise revenue while keeping guest loyalty
• Decide on and give complimentary gifts to guests, such as reward points, show tickets or gift certificates
• Promote brand awareness both inside and outside the company
• Handle requests to redeem Marriott Rewards points
• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail
• Enter Marriott Rewards details into the relevant software when taking reservations
• Answer, record and process guest calls, requests, questions and concerns
• Carry out general office duties to support Sales & Marketing, such as filing, sending emails, typing and faxing
• Help management train and motivate employees and act as a role model
• Follow company policies and procedures, keep uniform and appearance clean and professional, maintain confidentiality and protect company assets
• Welcome guests to company standards, anticipate their needs and thank them sincerely
• Communicate clearly and professionally, prepare written documents accurately and answer phones with proper etiquette
• Build positive working relationships and support the team in reaching shared goals
• Monitor others' performance to ensure quality expectations and standards are met
• Read and visually verify information in different formats
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 10 pounds without help
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
