About the role

Lead day-to-day security operations at a distribution centre, keeping people, assets, cargo and critical operations safe and compliant. You will manage contracted security personnel and run the onsite command-and-control functions, working to global security requirements and recognised industry standards. This suits an experienced security supervisor from a logistics, warehouse or industrial setting who is comfortable leading multi-shift teams.

What you'll do

Lead and supervise all onsite security operations
Monitor screening, access control, CCTV, electronic security systems and physical security infrastructure
Align with the security vendor on priorities and incident learnings
Oversee perimeter control in line with company and regulatory requirements
Coordinate and validate manpower deployment for full shift coverage

Verify competency and performance, and provide coaching or corrective guidance

Ensure the security agency meets PLRD licensing obligations and site SOPs

Lead initial response to security incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, secure evidence and compile reports

Escalate major incidents to security management and, where required, to senior management, customers and regulators

Run routine inspections and audits, conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures

Maintain documentation for internal and external compliance frameworks such as TAPA FSR and C-TPAT

Plan security arrangements for VIP visits, customer engagements and high-traffic periods

Coordinate crowd control, traffic flow and emergency access routes

Review, update and enhance site security SOPs

Support security training needs analysis and upskilling initiatives

Requirements

At least 4-6 years of supervisory experience in security operations, ideally in logistics, warehouse or industrial settings
Valid PLRD Security Licence and Security Supervisory certification
WSQ modules aligned to the PWM Security Supervisor track preferred
Strong proficiency in CCTV operations, electronic security systems and command-centre monitoring tools
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as TAPA FSR/TSR, CTPAT and local regulatory requirements is an advantage
Self-driven and disciplined, able to lead multi-shift teams
