About the role
A neuroscience and behavioural disorders research programme is hiring a research fellow to join a laboratory studying neurodegeneration, with a focus on molecular and cellular mechanisms of Parkinson's disease. The role suits an early-career scientist who is keen on neurodegeneration research and can work under a principal investigator within a collaborative team.
What you'll do
Design and run experimental research for the project independently
Write and review research papers and present findings
Develop new ideas and plans for independent research
Support external grant and protocol development, study design and research activity management
Take part in occasional teaching or instructional activities and project management
Guide and mentor undergraduates, medical students and research assistants
Keep experiment progress on track in the laboratory
Handle other related duties incidental to the work

Requirements
PhD and/or post-graduate medical degree
At least 3 years' relevant research experience and training
Entry level candidates may also be considered
Knowledge of the scientific background relevant to the research area
