About the role

This role sits within the Institutional Banking Group Technology team, focused on the Payments domain. You will bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams, turning requirements into clear documentation and supporting Agile delivery. It suits someone with a few years of business analysis experience in banking or technology who enjoys detailed, structured work.

What you'll do

Work with business stakeholders, product owners and operations teams to gather, analyse and document requirements for the Payments domain
Run requirement gathering workshops, discussions and walkthrough sessions
Convert business needs into functional specifications, user stories, process flows, business rules and acceptance criteria
Work with engineering teams to explain requirements, clarify scenarios and support solution design
Keep project documentation accurate and traceable so requirements, assumptions, decisions and scope are clearly recorded
Support Agile delivery activities such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, story refinement, requirement reviews and sprint demos
Coordinate with Payments, Accounts, Entitlements, Approvals and Notification teams on process dependencies and cross-domain alignment
Document payment workflows, approval flows, entitlement rules, notification requirements and transaction lifecycle processes
Help with test planning, test case preparation and UAT by defining business scenarios and acceptance criteria
Partner with QA and Test Automation teams to develop functional, integration and automation test scenarios
Validate delivered functionality against requirements and support defect triage, root cause discussions and issue resolution
Version-control and maintain requirements, changes and enhancements throughout the project lifecycle
Take part in release planning, production deployment preparation and post-release validation
Use AI-enabled productivity tools to improve requirement documentation, analysis and quality assurance

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline
2-4 years of Business Analysis experience in Banking, Financial Services or Technology projects
Basic understanding of Corporate Internet Banking, Digital Banking, Payments or Financial Services platforms
Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, process flows and functional specifications
Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
