Teach an undergraduate core course, DF5002 Cinematography 2, at the School of Art, Design and Media. The 13-week course covers advanced aesthetics and techniques of cinematography, using analysis of key films and cinematographers. Guide students in digital filmmaking projects from concept, screenwriting and production through to post-production and final colour grading. Help students explore cinematography beyond its current forms, including scripted filmmaking, serialised content, non-scripted content and short-format videos. Prepare students for the role of director of photography for their final-year graduation film.
Requirements
Master's and/or PhD in Cinematography or related field
Track record of creative practice in film production
Able to teach an undergraduate course commencing January 2027
Expertise in digital filmmaking from concept to colour grading
