About the role
You will join the Educational Media & Resources team at Singapore University of Social Sciences, building and maintaining software applications that support lifelong learning. The role suits an experienced full-stack developer who is comfortable working across the web stack and keen to apply AI technologies in enterprise systems. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust, secure and scalable solutions.
What you'll do
Evaluate and recommend solutions, explaining their costs and benefits clearly
Confirm that UI and UX designs are technically feasible
Support system deployment and integrate with external systems

Design, build and continuously improve software applications
Integrate AI services, APIs and cloud AI offerings into enterprise applications
Monitor and optimise the performance, accuracy and reliability of AI-enabled applications
Align system design and development with organisational security and software standards
Maintain assigned systems, carry out fixes and perform security assessments
Ensure systems are robust, available and scalable
Conduct peer code reviews
Improve new and existing systems based on changing business needs and stakeholder requirements
Maintain applications and handle user inquiries and requests
Troubleshoot errors and issues
Carry out bug fixes and data patching
Perform system upgrades and enhancements
Research and implement emerging technologies
Propose solutions using emerging technologies for new and existing systems
Research, evaluate and implement AI, GenAI, LLM and Agentic AI technologies
Build and integrate AI-powered features such as assistants, chatbots, recommendation engines, document processing, knowledge retrieval and workflow automation
Apply techniques such as RAG, vector databases, Model Context Protocol, AI agents and prompt engineering
Ensure AI solutions meet governance, security, privacy and responsible AI guidelines

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Software
At least 5 years of software development experience
Minimum 3 complete SDLC projects
Full-stack development and object-oriented analysis and design experience
Experience building web applications
Node.js, React.js, RESTful web services and JSON
