About the role
A senior leadership role at an international bank, reporting to the Global Head of Cloud Infrastructure. You will own the global infrastructure delivery ecosystem spanning cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, and lead engineering teams that build platforms supporting secure, automated and scalable deployment. Suits an experienced infrastructure leader with deep cloud and automation expertise who can combine technical depth with people leadership.
What you'll do
Define and lead the global infrastructure pipeline strategy across public cloud, private cloud, hybrid and on-premise environments
Orchestrate and deliver infrastructure across the bank's global datacentres and cloud regions
Develop enterprise-wide standards for infrastructure delivery, automation, deployment and lifecycle management
Implement automated infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
Manage infrastructure lifecycle through code-based deployments and version-controlled delivery models
Harmonise delivery across the bank's four key global infrastructure processes covering over a million devices
Lead, develop and retain global engineering teams and promote an engineering culture
Own risks linked to code delivery, code maintenance in production, and dev/test environments and tooling
Drive timely closure of risks, operational events and audit findings
Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering rules
Ensure value realisation for workload migrations to cloud and optimise cloud governance
Engage with senior stakeholders across software engineering, compute, networks, architecture and cyber

Global scope covering 70 datacentres and 15 cloud regions
Key stakeholders include the Global Head of Software Engineering, Head of Hypervisors, Head of Compute, Head of Networks, Global Head of Cyber Advisory, Assessment & Testing, Head of Infrastructure Architecture and Distinguished Engineers
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
15+ years of experience in cloud or related technologies
Knowledge of cloud platforms across compute, storage, networking, database, analytics, security, identity, AI/ML, integration and serverless services
Experience consuming and deploying on-premises infrastructure capabilities
Expert in infrastructure as code and relevant platforms such as Chef, Terraform, Puppet, Ansible or CloudFormation
Understanding of data centre infrastructure
