About the role
A senior project leadership role with a real estate services firm in Singapore, focused on winning and delivering complex investor and landlord projects. Suits an experienced project or construction management professional who can lead teams, build client relationships and grow local business.
What you'll do
Lead the securing and retention of local and national work with investor and landlord clients
Develop new strategic business opportunities through a local network in commercial, retail and industrial investor sectors
Take total responsibility for managing all phases of complex projects from establishment to handover and closure
Coordinate and lead project participants to maximise outcomes for stakeholders
Mentor and coach less experienced colleagues in project management
Establish and implement project organisation structures for reporting, communication and working procedures
Lead the project team in assembling and managing consultants, contractors and suppliers
Represent the client's best interests from inception to completion
Maintain positive client relationships and ensure repeat business
Produce detailed monthly project reports covering safety, environment, program, resources, budgets, risk and profitability
Lead management of the construction phase and ensure appropriate supervision
Establish and implement quality control systems
Identify, mitigate and report on project risks to deliver on time and under budget
Lead use of company technology including Clarizen, Jaggaer and Project Toolkit
Promote the company to new local prospects and landlord clients to develop business
Generate new revenue from local landlords and target investor-related local revenue
Develop relationships with other business lines and introduce opportunities to them
Manage project revenue and payment cycles to avoid bad debt
Lead preparation of EOIs and pricing submissions to win new work
Lead development of quality templates using Project Toolkit
Lead external industry award nominations
Create an environment where team members contribute, set objectives and motivate the team
Act as a leadership role model embracing the company's values of teamwork, ethics and excellence
Coach and develop staff with regular feedback and guidance
Set stretch targets and monitor individual and team performance
Develop and monitor plans for team operations
Collaborate with senior staff on solutions to problems and risks
Delegate effectively and make tough decisions to resolve problems or improve operations
Promote open and collaborative relations with superiors, subordinates, peers and clients
Communicate plans and performance clearly and motivationally to the team
Maintain positive communication with clients and stakeholders
Analyse completed projects to promote successes and lessons learnt
Negotiate skillfully in tough situations with internal and external groups

Requirements
Degree in a relevant Project or Construction Management discipline
Fifteen years' experience in Design
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project and cost reporting systems
Understanding of the legal environment for projects including planning, commercial aspects and delivery constraints
Ability to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants and authorities within authority limits
Understanding of ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and Environmental Health and Safety legislation
