About the role

A strategic planning role supporting large-scale technology transformation programmes across a bank's technology division. You will work closely with senior technology leadership on strategy, governance and executive reporting, and the position suits someone structured and driven who can manage complex, enterprise-wide initiatives.

What you'll do

Partner with the CTO-Applications to drive strategic planning, annual priorities, transformation initiatives and management reviews across the Technology Applications portfolio.
Turn leadership direction and business objectives into actionable strategies, structured workplans, measurable outcomes and executive-ready updates.
Lead governance and oversight of strategic programmes, maintaining an integrated view of priorities, milestones, KPIs, risks, dependencies, decisions and action items.
Develop presentations, board papers, briefing materials, talking points and decision papers for senior leadership and executive committees.
Coordinate stakeholders across application teams, platform leads, business units, risk, finance, architecture and central functions.
Plan and facilitate leadership meetings, workshops and governance forums, including agendas, pre-reads, minutes and action tracking.
Analyse complex business and technology issues, identify trends and risks, and provide practical recommendations.
Monitor programme health, identify delivery risks, escalate issues and drive timely resolution of blockers.
Provide hands-on support to critical programmes, assess delivery challenges, define recovery plans and restore momentum.
Track commitments and follow up on outstanding actions to ensure timely closure of agreed outcomes.
Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and project teams, influencing outcomes and fostering alignment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline
Relevant experience in project or programme management, PMO, business analysis, strategic planning, management consulting or technology transformation
Proven experience leading initiatives from strategy and planning through execution, implementation, stabilisation and benefits realisation
Strong project management and/or business analysis capabilities
Experience supporting senior technology executives or working in large, complex organisations
Ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities
