About the role
You will mix and serve drinks at The Singapore EDITION, a hotel bar in the Orchard area. The role suits someone with some bar experience who enjoys guest-facing work and keeping a station clean and organised.
What you'll do
Prepare drink orders to set recipes, using measuring tools
Serve wine and champagne, including opening bottles
Set up the bar and keep the bar, tables and equipment clean and in good condition
Make fresh garnishes for drinks
Restock ice, glassware and paper supplies
Move supplies to the bar set-up area
Wash used glassware
Clear used items from the bar top and tables to the designated area
Watch for and flag restocking needs
Handle all payment methods
Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, sort out discrepancies, hand in receipts and secure the bank
Lock up liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets and storage areas
Finish closing duties
Follow company safety and security rules, report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete safety training and certifications
Keep your uniform and appearance clean and professional, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets
Greet and acknowledge guests to company standards, respond to their needs and thank them
Communicate clearly and professionally with others
Build and maintain positive working relationships, support the team on shared goals and respond to colleagues' concerns
Meet quality expectations and standards
Read and check information in different formats, including small print
Stand, sit or walk for long periods or a whole shift
Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects up to 50 pounds without help
Grip, turn and handle objects of different sizes and weights, using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Move through narrow, confined or raised spaces
Walk on sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces and use stairs and service ramps
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping
Carry out other reasonable duties asked by supervisors
